Auchmīros perched on a cliff edge, watching smoke curl from his nostrils. The young dragon wanted to breathe fire like the ancient wyrms—hot enough to melt stone, bright enough to light the darkest caves. Here in the Spirit Realm, he would train until flames roared from his jaws instead of these weak wisps of smoke. He spotted it below—a cave entrance carved into the mountain face. Orange sigils glowed along its edges, pulsing like embers in a fire pit. The markings were old, ancient even, and they called to something deep in his chest. Auchmīros spread his wings and glided down. His claws clicked against the stone as he landed. Heat waved from the cave mouth, warming his scales. This was it. This was where he would train. Inside those walls, he would forge his fire into something worthy of the ancient wyrms. No more smoke. No more shame. Only flames.
