Gustav Icypaws wiped down the bar with steady paws, his white fur catching the dim tavern light. The polar bear adjusted his green apron and red bow tie. He dreamed of finding the legendary Frost Lotus, a rare ingredient that grew only in the frozen peaks beyond the Northern Wastes. One day, he would track down the dangerous supplier who controlled its trade. The Igloo Bar had become more than his workplace. Its curved ice walls and warm hearth made it the perfect place to plan. Gustav stored his maps in the back room, rolled tight and tied with string. He studied them each night after closing, tracing routes through dangerous territory. The bar's cozy corners gave him space to think and prepare. This morning, Gustav walked to the town square before his shift. A compass sat on a wooden stand near the fountain. Ice patterns covered its surface, glowing with a frosty light. The Frostbound Compass pointed toward distant lands where rare ingredients existed. Gustav studied the needle as it swung north, marking the direction of his quest. At the marketplace, Gustav found a merchant with strange tools. A sleek scale sat on the table, dark and smooth. The merchant explained it could measure fair trades with any supplier. Gustav bought the scale and tucked it into his apron pocket. He had his headquarters, his direction, and now his bargaining tool. The journey to find the Frost Lotus was finally beginning.
