Claire sat cross-legged on the floor, her rainbow skirt pooling around her. She held a brush in one hand and stared at the blank canvas. Her dream was simple: paint something that made people feel safe. She wanted to capture comfort itself, the way a hug felt or a warm blanket on a cold night. Her purple hair fell over her shoulder as she leaned forward. The teddy bear in her lap seemed to watch the empty white space too. Outside, Mr. Sun shone through the window, making everything glow. She needed to find her painting space first. The room she was in felt wrong, too empty and cold. Claire stood up and walked through the old house, carrying her bear. She found a study tucked away in the back. Dark wood covered the walls. Strange symbols were carved into the shelves. The air felt thick, almost alive with something old. But when Mr. Sun's light came through the window, it softened everything. This would be her place to paint. Claire needed to see real comfort before she could paint it. A rainbow medic kit sat on a table near the fountain. Someone had left it there for anyone who needed help. Claire stopped and stared at it. The bright colors reminded her of her skirt.
