Sylvia opened her laptop and started searching for culinary schools in the region. If the standard applications weren't working, she needed to reach out directly. She typed "Arctic culinary programs" and scrolled through the results. Her tail flicked as she clicked on the first school's website. The instructor contact page loaded slowly. She grabbed her phone and dialed the number listed. A voice answered, and Sylvia explained what she was looking for. The instructor promised to send over a list of recent graduates. Sylvia thanked her and hung up. She leaned back in her chair and smiled. This was progress. The next morning, Sylvia walked through the dining room before opening. She needed to prepare for real interviews, not just paper reviews. A sleek prep station stood near the kitchen entrance, its polished metal surface ready for testing. She ran her paw across the organized compartments. Candidates would work here while she watched. No more guessing if they could actually cook. She needed to see their skills in action. Sylvia stepped outside to check the morning delivery. The glass cabinet by the door kept ingredients fresh and protected until she could bring them in. She unlocked it and pulled out boxes of vegetables and herbs. Everything looked perfect. She carried them inside and set them on the prep station. When the first candidate arrived this afternoon, they would cook with these. Sylvia adjusted her glasses and nodded. She was finally learning how to find the right chef.
