Ms. Tikico pushed open the door to the empty lot in Okie Dokie. Dust swirled around her sandals. She grinned wide, her green fingers spreading as she gestured at the bare space. This would be her entertainment venue. Not just any place—a spot that made real money every year. She'd build stages for shows. She'd add games and food stands. People would come from all over to spend their coins here. Her dream stood right in front of her, waiting to become real. She pulled a rolled paper from her pocket and spread it flat. The plans showed slides twisting down into pools. A lazy river curved through the whole space. Palm trees and bright flowers lined every path. She'd call it Tropical Splash Waterpark. Families would pack in during hot days. They'd buy tickets and snacks and spend hours splashing around. Ms. Tikico folded the paper and tucked it back in her pocket. The empty lot would transform into her money-making dream. She just had to start building. But water slides weren't the only draw. She pictured a quiet corner with yoga mats on sand. Tropical flowers and plants would frame the space. People could stretch and breathe in the morning air before the waterpark crowds arrived. Instructors would lead classes and charge fees. Every part of her venue would make money somehow. Ms. Tikico adjusted her sunglasses and smiled. The empty lot held so much potential. Soon it would buzz with visitors spending coins all day long. Her bustling entertainment venue was finally beginning. She walked to the far edge of the lot. A tall stand of coin-operated binoculars would go right here. Visitors could drop in coins and scan the ocean beyond. They'd search for boats and birds while waiting for their turn on the slides. Even the small things would bring in money. Ms. Tikico kicked at the dirt and pictured opening day. Lines of people buying tickets. Laughter filling the air. Her pockets heavy with profit at closing time. She turned back to face the empty space. The work ahead was big, but her plan was solid. Okie Dokie would soon have the best entertainment spot around.
