Each person who stopped was one step closer to knowing her name. By evening, Chloe walked along the beach desert where the sand met the shore. She spotted an angular cottage tucked between the dunes. The building sat empty, its sleek walls waiting for purpose. This could be it—her real practice, the place where she'd help everyone who needed her.
