Kelsey Birdpop sat on her porch steps with a guitar across her lap. Three small birds perched on her shoulders, chirping softly. She hummed a melody, fingers finding the chords. Her dream was simple: teach everyone in the neighborhood how to write songs. Every week, she'd host a music circle right here. People would share stories, find their voices, create something real. It caught the sunlight as she held it up. This would be her teaching tool, passed around the circle each week. Everyone would get a turn to share their lyrics. Kelsey found an old stone monument in the town square with carved musical notes around its base. She set up a speaker system at its base. Now her invitation song would reach every corner of the neighborhood. She sang into the bedazzled microphone, her voice rolling across the streets. Windows opened. Heads turned.
