Bucky E. McBeaver straightened his red Bucc-ee's cap and smiled at his reflection in the gas station window. His two front teeth gleamed bright and proud. Today marked his first day working the register, and he had one clear dream: to earn the respect of every single traveler who walked through those doors. The sprawling service station stretched out before him like a kingdom of convenience. Red and white canopies towered over countless fuel pumps. The iconic smiling beaver logo watched over everything. This was his stage now. Every traveler who stopped here would meet him, and he planned to make each interaction count. Bucky walked past the new vending machine near the entrance. His own face beamed from its colorful front panel, offering travel tips to visitors. He grinned at it, then headed outside where someone had set up a microphone stand in the open space. The polished metal caught the morning sun. Maybe he could use it later to welcome people, share stories, make them laugh. He took a deep breath of desert air and adjusted his cap one more time. The first car was already pulling up to the pumps. A family stepped out, stretching their legs after a long drive. Bucky walked toward them with his biggest smile. This was it. His chance to show every single person what Bucc-ee's meant: friendly faces, clean restrooms, and a beaver who genuinely cared about their journey.
