Sylvia pulled out her phone and took a picture of three different dates. She would attend each one and watch the chefs work. Near the board, a polished stone statue depicted two animal chefs shaking hands. Frost highlighted the details of their features and the warmth in their pose. Sylvia studied the way their paws met, firm and equal. This was what she wanted for Arctic Boughs—a partnership built on trust and shared purpose. She adjusted her glasses and smiled.
