Nike adjusted the leather straps on her golden wings and stepped into the grand stable. The scent of hay and horse sweat filled her nose. She had one goal that burned in her chest every morning: earn Zeus's eternal trust through unmatched skill in battle. The Hippodrom Grand Stables would be her training ground, where she would master combat on horseback and prove herself worthy of the throne room. She walked through the tall marble archway and stopped. Before her stretched a vast arena of gold and crystal. Waterfalls cascaded down white stone columns. Green vines twisted around gleaming statues. This was the Nikean Hippodrome, built for warriors to show their strength. Zeus would watch from his throne when she was ready. A winged horse stamped its hooves near the center ring. Its white coat shimmered in the light. Nike approached slowly, her hand extended. The creature's wings folded against its powerful body. She would train with this pegasus, learning to fight from its back. Speed and balance mattered as much as blade work. Across the arena stood a circular target ringed in gold. Fire flickered around its edges. Nike drew her blade and felt its weight in her palm. She would practice every move until her body knew them without thought. Precision with weapons, control in the air, perfect timing on horseback. When Zeus finally saw her fight, he would have no doubt. She was ready to begin.
