Chapter 1

MC 'Coral Crusher' Travey twisted the rusty antenna on his makeshift transmitter. Static crackled through the speakers. He grinned and adjusted the dial again. His dream was simple but massive: a pirate radio station that would reach every coastal towns in Okie Dokie. No government control. No censorship. Just music, stories, and truth riding the airwaves like ships on the open sea. He found the perfect building three weeks later. The old abandoned warehouse sat empty near the docks. Vines climbed up the walls. Tropical flowers grew wild around the entrance. MC walked inside and saw the tall ceilings and open space. This was it. He started hauling in equipment the next day. Speakers. Microphones. His collection of records. He decorated the walls with maps and plants. Palm fronds hung from the rafters. His purple coat caught on a hibiscus bush as he wired the main console. The whole place looked like a pirate ship had crashed into a jungle. MC stepped back and surveyed his work. The transmitter hummed to life. He grabbed the microphone and spoke his first words into the static. "This is Coral Crusher, broadcasting live from Okie Dokie." His voice echoed through the room. The signal pushed out toward the coast. His pirate radio station was finally real. But the next morning brought a problem. MC climbed to the roof and stared at his small antenna. The signal barely reached past the first row of buildings. He needed something taller. Something that could push his voice across the water to every coastal town. He spent the afternoon searching and found what he needed. A festival stage sat unused behind the docks. Golden sand surrounded its base. Tropical flowers decorated the frame. But most important was the tall metal framework that rose high into the sky. MC grabbed his tools and started climbing. He strapped his transmitter to the top beam. Wires snaked down through the flowers and plants. He flipped the switch and watched the lights blink to life. The signal shot out across the coast. MC slid down and dusted off his hands. Every coastal town would hear him now. The transmitter hummed for two hours before the lights flickered and died. MC rushed back to check the power cable. The old building's electricity wasn't strong enough. He needed his own power source. Something that could run all day and night without stopping. He searched through the supply shops and found a sleek generator designed for tropical weather. The metal casing wouldn't rust in the salt air. MC hauled it back and connected it to his equipment. The generator roared to life. The transmitter lights blinked green. His broadcast signal pushed out across the water again. MC sat down at his console and smiled. His pirate radio station was truly ready. The coastal towns of Okie Dokie would finally hear his voice.
