Leo Vanguard adjusted his red armor and checked his morpher one more time. Today was the day he would prove himself. He wanted to lead the Zookeepers on their toughest mission yet. His teammates doubted him, but he would show them what he could do. The Zoo Strategic Command Post stood before him. Wooden beams mixed with glowing screens and control panels. This would be his headquarters, the place where he would coordinate every move. Leo pushed open the heavy door and stepped inside. Maps covered the walls. Red lights blinked on the main console. This was where leaders made decisions that saved lives. He needed to prepare. The training facility waited across the grounds. Leo jogged toward the colorful building with its bright murals of animals in action. Inside, obstacle courses stretched from wall to wall. Climbing nets hung from the ceiling. Balance beams tested his focus. He spent two hours running drills, pushing his body until sweat soaked his suit. Every jump made him faster. Every landing made him stronger. The sun was setting when Leo climbed the watchtower. From the top, he could see the entire zoo spread below him. Signal flags hung ready on their posts. Communication equipment lined the railings. Up here, he could send orders to his team anywhere on the grounds. Leo gripped the railing and stared out at the darkening sky. Tomorrow, the real mission would begin. He was ready to prove himself worthy.
