Chapter 1

Apollo stood in the marble gallery, studying the patterns of light that danced across the floor. He wanted to master prophecy and become the oracle all rulers would seek. Every shadow held meaning. Every flicker of flame whispered secrets. He closed his eyes and let the visions come, fragments of futures tangling in his mind like golden threads. He opened his eyes and walked through the space, measuring its worth. The visions were growing stronger, but he needed more than stone walls and echoing chambers. Kings would demand grandeur. Emperors would expect divine proof. Apollo raised his hand toward the ceiling and called forth his power. Gold veins spread across the marble like roots of a sacred tree. Crystal formations bloomed from the columns, catching light and splitting it into rainbow fragments. The walls began to glow with their own soft radiance, as if the building itself had become alive with prophecy. He stepped back and looked at what he had created. The Pinacotheca of Apollo now stood complete, a celestial gallery worthy of the truths he would speak. This would be where rulers came to learn their fates. This would be where his name became legend. But a beautiful gallery meant nothing without practice. Apollo needed to learn how to deliver prophecies with confidence and power. He walked to the center of the glowing space and placed a carved tripod stool on the marble floor. The three legs stood firm, the polished seat catching the divine light. He sat upon it and felt the rightness of the position. From here, he could see the entire gallery. From here, his voice would carry to every corner. He spoke a vision aloud, testing how the words filled the air. The crystal columns caught his voice and amplified it, sending it back to him like music. He tried again, this time speaking with more force, and the gallery sang with his prophecy. Apollo smiled. This was how it would be. Rulers would stand before him while he sat elevated, speaking truths that would shape kingdoms. He would practice every day until his delivery became flawless. The Pinacotheca was ready, and soon, so would he be.
