Bonnie skipped up to the silent stone hall and threw open the doors. Echoes Hall would be her stage. She was going to be the most famous singer in the world, and today was the day people would finally see it. She had hung her painted theater sign out front that morning. INTRODUCING BONNIE IN: CUTE AS A BUTTON! NOW SHOWING. She had also put out a gift sign and a feedback box, because stars planned ahead. Bonnie stepped onto the dusty stage and opened her mouth. Nothing came. She had no song. No dance. No act at all. She had been so busy picturing the applause that she had forgotten the middle part. She walked back outside. The gift sign stood empty. The feedback box sat empty too. A single pigeon flapped past the doors. Bonnie beamed. "They're saving their gifts for opening night," she decided. "I just need one perfect act." She marched off to find it.
