Storycraft Terms of Service

These terms of service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Storycraft website (www.storycraft.gg), Storycraft Discord Bot, and Storycraft mobile apps (collectively, “Storycraft Web Services”). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Storycraft Web Services.

Storycraft Web Services are owned and operated by Storycraft Games Inc.

By accessing or using the Storycraft Web Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Storycraft Web Services.

User Inputs and Generated Content

The Storycraft Web Services allow you to provide or create text, prompts, selections, edits, images, names, characters, worlds, designs, gameplay choices, and other materials (“User Inputs”). The Storycraft Web Services may use User Inputs, gameplay activity, and automated systems, including artificial intelligence, to generate or assemble stories, dialogue, images, characters, world details, and other materials (“Generated Content”). User Inputs and Generated Content are together referred to as “User Content.”

As between you and Storycraft Games Inc., you retain any ownership rights you have in your User Inputs. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you also own any rights you may acquire in Generated Content, subject to Storycraft Games Inc.’s and its licensors’ rights in the Storycraft Web Services, software, models, systems, prompts, templates, game assets, and other underlying materials. Generated Content may not be unique, and the Storycraft Web Services may generate the same or similar content for other users. You do not obtain rights in content generated for other users.

By providing User Inputs or creating, receiving, saving, posting, or sharing Generated Content, you grant Storycraft Games Inc. and its affiliates a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, fully paid, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify, edit, adapt, translate, combine, create derivative works from, publish, distribute, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, communicate to the public, make available, promote, market, monetize, commercialize, and otherwise use User Content, in whole or in part, in any media or format now known or later developed.

This license includes the right to use User Content to operate, maintain, develop, test, improve, promote, and commercialize the Storycraft Web Services and related products and services; to create and publish edited or derivative stories, comics, images, videos, and other works based on User Content or gameplay; to distribute those works through third-party platforms, publishers, social media, advertising, and other channels; and to authorize third parties to exercise these rights on Storycraft Games Inc.’s behalf. Storycraft Games Inc. may use your username and public profile information to credit or identify your contribution, but has no obligation to provide attribution.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive and agree not to assert any moral rights or similar rights you may have in User Content. Where those rights cannot be waived, you consent to the editing, adaptation, combination, publication, distribution, and other uses described in these Terms.

Storycraft Games Inc. is not required to use, publish, retain, or continue making available any User Content. Storycraft Games Inc. may select, review, edit, modify, refuse, remove, or stop using User Content at any time. Unless Storycraft Games Inc. separately agrees in writing, you are not entitled to payment, royalties, revenue sharing, approval rights, or other compensation for Storycraft Games Inc.’s use of User Content. The licenses granted in this section survive deletion of User Content, closure of your account, and termination of these Terms.

You represent and warrant that you own or have all rights, licenses, permissions, and consents needed to provide User Inputs and grant the rights in these Terms, and that Storycraft Games Inc.’s permitted use of User Content will not violate any law or infringe any third party’s intellectual property, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights. Do not submit confidential information or personal information about another person without authorization. Storycraft Games Inc. reserves the right to remove any User Content that it determines violates these Terms or applicable law.

Storycraft Games Inc. does not endorse User Content and is not responsible for its accuracy, reliability, or quality.

Software Provided “As Is”

The Storycraft Web Services are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied.

The Storycraft Web Services leverage artificial intelligence models that may produce unpredictable results and may not always be accurate. We take AI safety seriously and use the recommended safety filters but cannot guarantee that generated content will never be offensive or explicit in nature.

Storycraft Games Inc. is not responsible for any errors or omissions in the software or the results obtained from the use of the software.

Modification of the Storycraft Web Services and Termination of Service

Storycraft Games Inc. reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Storycraft Web Services or any of its services at any time, without notice. Storycraft Games Inc. will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Storycraft Web Services or its services.

Governing Law

These Terms and your use of the Storycraft Web Services will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
