He watched the older wizards trace binding marks with steady hands. When Ajax passed, Corin looked away. “He’ll grow in confidence” Chalam said. Ajax agreed. He wanted the men to respect but not fear him entirely. He flexed a bicep at them. “Some men have this instead of a staff.” And he grinned making them wizards smile, some with envy. “Once you’re trained, you will be put to good use. Chalam will also teach you to attack and defend.” And Chalam did so.
