Kieran walked until the streets thinned and the old factory line came into view. He stopped at the rusted boundary sign, its faded letters still naming the district as theirs. The memo sat in his coat, sealed in courier wax and red ribbon to look like nothing worth reading. A rumor would be laughed off. A sealed letter, found in the right place, would be opened. He knew the small graveyard at the edge of the works, where night shift families still left lights for the dead. Black stone paths. Pink neon along the markers. Workers passed through it every dawn. He pressed the letter under a loose tile beside one of the glowing graves and scratched a small mark on the stone above it. Then he used the fixer's channel one last time. He paid a runner to whisper a single line in the right break rooms: check the third stone at the neon rest. Nothing more. Let them find it themselves. Let the wax seal and the corporate letterhead inside do the convincing. Before dawn he watched from across the lot. A woman in work boots knelt at the stone. She lifted the tile. She broke the seal. She read. Then she ran, the letter clutched to her chest, toward the others. Kieran exhaled. The memo was loose in the world now — and so was his name, written in the margins, where the fixer had left it.
