Chapter 1

Model T rolled through the steel gates of an empty warehouse in New Liberty. The robot's optical sensors scanned the vast concrete floor and rusted beams above. This would be the first building in a factory empire. One day, workers would build products here that changed everything. Model T's metal hands clenched with determination. The dream was simple: make things faster, sell them cheaper, give everyone what they needed. The robot wheeled toward a pile of machinery in the corner. Gears, conveyor belts, and metal frames lay scattered across the floor. Model T lifted each piece and examined it closely. These parts could become something useful. The robot's processors calculated measurements and angles. By sunset, an old fashioned assembly line stood in the center of the warehouse. The conveyor belt creaked as it moved. Model T tested each lever and wheel. This small setup would let the robot build products and sell them to people in town. The factory empire had to start somewhere. This was day one. Model T spent the next week building simple goods on the assembly line. Metal cups rolled off the conveyor belt. The robot packed them in crates and wheeled them to the market square. People stopped to look. They bought cups at half the price of handmade ones. Money started coming in. Model T returned to the warehouse each night and ran the numbers. The small operation worked, but it was too slow. The robot needed something bigger. Outside town, an old automobile factory sat empty. Its brick walls reached four stories high. Massive windows lined each floor. Model T studied the building through the fence. That factory could hold twenty assembly lines. Workers could build hundreds of products each day. The robot's optical sensors brightened. This was the next step. The empire would grow there. Model T purchased the factory building the following morning. Inside, dust covered every surface. The robot walked between old workstations and examined the space. A vintage steam engine stood silent in the back corner. Its polished metal and brass fittings still looked strong. Model T ran diagnostics on the machine. The engine could power every conveyor belt and press in the building. The robot connected pipes and checked valves. Steam hissed through the system. The engine rumbled to life. Model T watched the pressure gauges climb. This factory would change New Liberty forever. Products would flow out faster than anyone had seen before. The empire was no longer just a dream.
