Razzle & Dazzle's dream is becoming the most feared prankster in their mischievous imp clan.
Razzle adjusted his top hat while Dazzle's horns gleamed in the harsh sunlight. The twin imps crouched behind a cracked clay pot, watching demons shuffle past on the dusty street. They whispered about their dream—to become the most feared pranksters in their entire clan. But not every demon found pranks funny. Last week, an angry target nearly burned their tails clean off. They'd learned the hard way to pick their marks carefully. The Scorchers hated fun. The Bone Lords had no sense of humor. Even the Seraphim refugees looked down their noses at imp mischief. Razzle grinned at his brother. They just needed to find the right victim. But first, they needed to sharpen their skills. Dazzle tugged Razzle's sleeve and pointed down a narrow gap between two buildings. Beyond it sat an abandoned area filled with broken crates, tilted beams, and crumbling walls. The obstacles formed natural ramps and platforms at different heights. Perfect for testing their speed and timing. They scrambled through the gap and landed in what felt like their own private training ground. The twins spent the next hour racing through the weathered playground. Razzle vaulted over a stack of warped boards while Dazzle timed his jump across a gap between two platforms. They practiced quick escapes and sudden stops. Each successful trick made them faster, sharper, more confident. When they finally stopped to catch their breath, both brothers were grinning wide. Their legs ached but their timing felt perfect. Soon every imp in New Xaxsuroth would know their names. Soon they'd pull off a prank so good that no one would ever forget it. They bumped fists and headed back toward the street, ready to find their first real target.
Razzle and Dazzle strutted back onto the main street, their practice session still buzzing in their veins. They needed to learn more than just speed. Real pranksters studied their targets before striking. Dazzle spotted a demon merchant arranging bottles on a crooked table. The imp twins crept closer, hiding behind a wooden post. They watched how the merchant moved, when he turned his back, how long it took him to notice things. Razzle pulled out a small pouch of sand and showed it to his brother. Dazzle nodded. They needed to test if they could swap objects without getting caught. Razzle crept forward while the merchant bent down. He switched one bottle with a rock wrapped in cloth. The merchant stood up, grabbed the fake bottle, and his eyes went wide. The twins were already gone, laughing from three streets over. Their first real trick had worked perfectly. The success made them hungry for more, but they needed better tools. Dazzle tugged his brother's sleeve and pointed toward a low building with sand-worn wooden benches outside. They pushed through a crooked doorway and found exactly what they needed. Shelves lined the walls, packed with bottles, springs, and strange metal pieces. A workspace sat in the center with scattered tools and half-finished contraptions. This place was perfect for building real prank devices. Razzle grabbed a coil of wire while Dazzle tested a spring mechanism. They spent the next hour assembling their first proper trick—a box that would pop open and spray sand when lifted. When it finally worked, both brothers grinned so wide their fangs showed. They had speed, they had timing, and now they had a workshop. The most feared pranksters in their clan weren't born in a day, but they were definitely on their way.
