Charlotte opened the Mii Maker and cracked her knuckles. Six people had responded to her Discord post with the same message: she could assign any role she wanted, as long as the Miis matched their profile pictures and used their usernames. She scrolled through the submissions. Hello-Kitty-istrash28 had sent a gothic character with sharp eyes and a permanent scowl. Blush-the-Nintendobunny58 was soft and bright, almost annoyingly cheerful. Charlotte grinned. The villain and the hero. She dragged Hello-Kitty-istrash28 into the Dark Lord slot and dropped Blush-the-Nintendobunny58 into the protagonist role. The story practically wrote itself. She hit save and opened her recording software. Episode one had its cast. She needed somewhere to plan this out properly. Charlotte opened a blank project file and built a workspace, something that matched the ridiculous sweetness of her hero. The pink cottage appeared on screen with its white trim and flower beds. She dragged the villain's portrait into a frame on the left wall. The gothic dress and skull print looked wrong against all that pink. Perfect. On the right wall, she placed the hero, cupcake in hand, pink bow bright against the salt-and-pepper hair. The contrast made her laugh out loud. Charlotte leaned back and looked at her setup. A three-year-old with a cupcake versus a Dark Lord in fishnets. The audience she didn't have yet would either love this or think she'd lost her mind. She typed the usernames under each portrait and screenshot the whole thing. This would be her announcement post. The roles were set, the chaos was planned, and she had visual proof that she wasn't making this up as she went. She posted the image to Discord with one line: "Meet your Dark Lord and your hero." Then she opened Miitopia and started recording. The series existed now. Not as a plan or a concept, but as something real she could upload. Charlotte pressed record and watched the gothic villain steal the faces of innocent townspeople while a small girl with a cupcake prepared to save the world. She had her first episode, and she hadn't even asked for permission.
